About Pawz IV Boxers

Judi and Kendall

I have been a Boxer exhibitor and breeder in San Diego County since 1984.  Having grown up in San Diego, with Boxers, there was a burning desire to enjoy this delightful breed as an adult.  My mentor was the late Susan Peterson of “Sur’a Boxers”.  Sue assisted me with my first puppy, my first litter and first dog show.  My first home bred show dog “Sur’a Rave Review” aka: Marci, was shown by Sue’s daughter Sonda Peterson, who is now a Professional Handler in Northern California.
Erma and Earl Roach of “Rusric Boxers” have also been mentors, as well as co-owners of Ch. Rusric’s Frolic’s Encore, and co-breeder/owner of Ch. Pawz IV Rusric’s Duke of Earl. But most importantly they have been very dear friends,
far beyond the dog world.
I am a member of the Boxer Club of San Diego, Orange Coast Boxer Club and the American Boxer Club, since 1992.
Breeding has been very limited over the years, striving to exemplify the standard, with emphasis on good health, and temperament.  We are very selective when placing puppies with their new families, with a rigid criterion that must be met.

~~ Pawz IV Champions are ~~

Ch. Pawz IV A Walking Miracle, "Annika"
Ch. Pawz IV on Call, "Lance"
Ch. Rusric's Frolic's Encore, "Frolic"
Ch. Pawz IV A Solitary Man, "Calhoun"
Ch. Pawz IV Rusric's Duke of Earl, "Kendall"
(Fondly named after Earl Roach who passed away June 2003)

We are thrilled with the attention "Kendall" has received from fellow breeders and exhibitors and his accomplishments in the show ring thus far.  A dog like this doesn’t come along very often.

Without a doubt, the most difficult, as well as the most thought provoking and emotional part of creating this web site was simply, igniting old memories, good and bad. Filtering through old photographs, recalling all our past house mates or particular events and questioning; “where have all those years gone?”  No doubt, we have all changed physically over the years, but hopefully our dream for perfecting the ideal “healthy boxer” lives on.  Remembering acquaintances and deeply missing those dear friends that shared in our vision is bitter sweet. But occasionally those dreams come true, and our hope is that the image of PAWZ IV Boxers will always be with you, whether just as a pleasant thought, or in your plans of your “Boxer”  future.
